Individuals with spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, hearing disabilities impairments go to the ski resorts in large numbers and there they get an opportunity to use the disabled one ski equipment. The invention of skiing equipment like 'sit-ski' and the 'mono-ski' has made it possible for a disabled skier to enjoy the sport. With these ski equipment, it is possible for the disabled person to glide down the snow with the non-disabled partners.

In mono-ski, the disabled person sits on a moulded seat. This seat is mounted to a single ski and can be controlled with hand held outriggers. Managing this ski equipment requires strength and balance. It is generally developed for people with double amputations and spinal cord injuries. There is also the bi-ski equipment, three track and four track equipment for the disabled, to enjoy skiing.
