RNID To Provide Deaf Awareness Training

Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) conducted a survey and found that thousands of deaf and hard of hearing people face discrimination at their workplace. To avoid this, RNID’s Employment Training and Skills Service (ETSS) supports deaf and hard of hearing job seekers and employees with all aspects of employment. To ensure that deaf and hard of hearing people receive equal opportunities in the workplace, ETSS also works closely with employers.

Cheryl Cullen, Director ETSS at RNID says: “RNID can provide Deaf Awareness Training to any business no matter what its size, to make sure employers are aware of the barriers deaf and hard of hearing people can face in employment, and how to overcome them.” Undoubtedly this step of RNID will better the condition of deaf and hard of hearing people in the job market. Three cheers for these brave people!
