There are various grants for the disabled or handicapped available which allow the sufferer to pursue education. Grants are meant for their rehabilitation. But, finding such grants is not an easy task. You will have to go through various procedures even after finding one. People with various physical disabilities like cerebral palsy, deafness, are eligible for such grants and aids. Disabled people can take the help of different associations to provide grants to disabled people to pursue education. One such organniastion is the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf which provides financial aid and scholarships. You can apply for grants for your child under it, if the child is under 6 years of age and has mild to high hearing loss. This association also provides grants if the child is between 5 to 19 years of age to attend science or art courses during the summer, weekends or after school.

There are also the Associates to the American Academy of Allergy that give 18 Award of Excellence Asthma Scholarships to graduating high school seniors with asthma. American Foundation for the Blind, Inc. also provides scholarships to blind students to pursue higher education. Junior, senior and high school blind students can also apply for the scholarships and such grants for the disabled to pursue further education.
